About the Journal

POMEURAH: Indonesian Journal of Humanities is a leading peer-reviewed and open-access journal that publishes scholarly works and specializes in the humanities that emphasize contemporary Asian issues with interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches. Pomeurah Referring to the Acehnese term for respecting animals—elephants. Elephants are highly revered in Aceh, as well as being a symbol of the relationship between humans and the universe. This journal seeks to publish articles that deal with historical, archaeology, sociocultural, anthropology, history, cultural studies, philology, arts, and information science, focusing on Indonesian studies and research. POMEURAH is currently indexed by Google Scholar. POMEURAH offers open access to its content and is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC-BY-SA).
